| Abstracted summary |
At one stage Siwa was meditating and would not respond to the gods attempts to rouse him to defend them. They therefore got Semara, the god of love, to shoot an arrow into Siwa's heart so that he would become interested in sex. He did, Siwa was furious and burnt Semara to a cinder, the gods fled. However the arrow did its work and Siwa fell for ?Uma, stopped meditating and got on with the job. He was eventually persuaded to restore Semara to life, so that we still have love today [ref LC]
