| Abstracted summary |
Rama and Laksamara ensnared by magical snakes. During the siege of Langka, Indrajit, son of Rawana, used his magic powers to send snakes who immobilised Rama and Laksamana, they lay as if dead until revived by herbs brought by Hanoman from the Himalayas. In this painting Rama and Laksamana are at top left. In front of them 2 peluarga including Sugriwa, and lower five monkeys in one bundle, at bottom left. Twalen and Morda are also ensnared. On the right Indrajit makes a gesture of magical power. n.b. no wind and cloud motifs [ref LC]
