| Abstracted summary |
The story starts at the bottom: 1. Sita asks Rama to get her the kidung mas and he bids farewell leaving Laksamana in charge. 2. Rama shoots Marica who calls out in his voice. 3. Sita sends Laksamana after Rama. 4. Laksamana finds Rama in the forest. 5. Meanwhile??!! Rawana disguised as an ascetic apoproaches Sita. 6. Rawana reverts to his normal form and seizes her. 7. He abducts her. 8. Jatayu sees what is happening and prepares to intervene. (Scenes 7 & 8 would fit well side by side). 9. Jatayu jumps Rawana and manages to get Sita. 10. Rawana recovers Sita and chops up Jatayu with his cleaver. The iconographic peculiarity, also found in the very similar E74186, is the absence of parekan [ref LC]
