Story involving Bima in a conflict
|
| Abstracted summary |
There are two scenes in this painting which depicts a battle.
1. In the upper part of the painting three pairs of combatants are depicted in hand-to-hand conflict. The one I can identify is Bima who is pictured on the right-hand side of the painting. The combatant in the central pair is a priest!
Parekan are in hand-to-hand conflict below. 2. The lower register also depicts three hand-to-hand conflicts. Again Bima can be identified in conflict with a different person than in the upper scene. Behind him two persons are locked in battle and to his right two persons attack a third [ref PW 2005]
