| Description |
Garuda Nawa Sanga. "the nine-part system (nawasanga), marking out the four compass points and the four intermediate directions around a centre. Each direction correlates with a deity and their respective colours and weapons. The mythical bird Garuda is in the centre, indestructible to the weapons the gods hurl at him, referencing the Adiparwa narrative in which the powerful Garuda defies the gods by stealing the elixir of immortality (amerta) to rescue his mother, a extension of the story following the churning of the ocean by the gods and demons."
