Kresna
Extended description
Kresna is a manifestation of the god Wisnu. He attempts to negotiate a peaceful settlement to the war between the Pandawas and Korawas but this is thwarted when Duryodana conspires to kill him. When Arjuna hesitates to fight against his kin at teachers, Kresna explains that combat is the sacred duty of ksatria. Kresna serves as Arjuna’s charioteer in combat and his sister Subadra becomes a wife of Arjuna. His daughter Siti Sundari marries Abimanyu (Arjuna’s son) in the Gatotkacasraya.
