Description
(1) Pan Brayut collects water running from a bamboo pipe, carries the water in a container on his head towards the house. (2) Pan Brayut in the kitchen, pouring the water into a another pot and lighting a fire below a pot of rice. (3) Pan Brayut placing offerings in the family shrine. (4) Men Brayut sleeping on a bed surrounded by twelve children. (5) Men Brayut on a platform eating with two children, Pan Brayut to the right with six children clutching him. (6) Pan Brayut with four children watches a barong performance accompanied by gamelan and men wearing masks and holding kris. (7) Women gathered on the left behind Men Brayut and men gathered on the right behind Pan Brayut discussing preparations for the marriage of Ketut Subaya. (8) Men engaged in the preparation of meat dishes for the ceremony (mebat). Ketut Subaya is amongst them and is holding a drinking vessel into which a man is pouring liquid. A pair of dogs fights one another in the foreground besides a man smoking the satay. (9) Women arranging the rice and satay (lawar) on dulang trays on the left, Ketut Subaya vomits to one side as the men consume the rice on the right. (10) A priest sits on a platform performing the rites with Pan and Men Brayut directly in front of him and Ketut Sulaya seated with others behind them. (11) Pan Brayut is carried by a group of men on a sedan chair. Note this is the final scene but the cloth looks ripped and it seems that there were further scenes to follow.
