Peter Elliott was a distinguished paediatrician who visited Indonesia from the 1970s to the 1990s. Donald Friend introduced him to many Balinese art and antiques dealers. Most of his collection was of tribal art from Indonesia or of modern Australian painting, but he owned at least 3 Balinese paintings.
