Brayut. The marriage of Ktut Subaya. The bottom left-hand scene shows the bride being dressed with an elaborate headdress, with a female priest attending and performing worship. The middle scene on the lower level depicts the bride behind a door, which the pock-marked Ktut Subaya kicks down. Pan Brayut sits behind Subaya, in a pavilion. The upper level of the panting depicts a long wedding procession, led by Subaya on a horse (right) and centred on the bride in a sedan chair, followed by an orchestra consisting of a row of small gongs, two large gongs and two drums. Behind the orchestra are men carrying muskets. A note is added (by Mead presumably, but perhaps copied from her notes and thus mis-copied) identifying the Brayut story and adding the enigmatic comment 'pegai lembongan Vaisa' (Pakai lembang Wesya?). An insteresting 19th century work.
