Change text no to TEXT B619\n\nPictures\tB642\n\t\tB627\n\t\tB619\n\t\tB620\n\t\tB621\n\nText 111(A)\tSept 13, 1936\nKatoetoeran satoewa Peraboe Gadjah Daroema (Lawe)\n\n(IBTogog narrated, MK wrote afterwards)\n\n1. There was a Peraboe named Peraboe Gadjah Daroema. He had four patih. Each one lived in a quadrant of the desa (nyatur desa - e.g N,S,W,E.) The four patih were trusted very much by Ida Sang Peraboe, and he gave them a letter (soerat penoegerahan) saying that they were not allowed to move away from their posts at the boundaries of the country, no matter how important the reason might be.\n\n6. Then the Sang Peraboe became sick and died. (néwata) His son took his place, named Anak Agoeng Anom. He sent letters to the four patih to come to see hm (tankil ke Negara). The patihs were still loyal (bakti) to the deceased Anak Agoeng and also loyal to Anak Agoeng Anom. What could they do?\n\n11. So then each of the pepatih decided. (in familiar words) Well, now I'll cut my head off, and send it to Ida Sang Peraboe.\n\n13. So he did it and sent his head to Ida Sang Peraboe.\n\n15. Now, about Peraboe Lawe.(lawe - Zoet: trunk without a head) For a long time he had wanted to attack the country of Praboe Gadjah Droema, but as long as the four pepatih still lived he didn't dare attack. Now that the pepatih were dead he commanded his troops to strike against Oesinara, which was the name of the country of Peraboe Gadjah Deroeman. All the troops of Praboe Lawe rode on the backs of animals (boeron) and went to attack. Peraboe Gadjah Deroema lost. (note by GB: Anom is now Gadjah Deroema)\n\n87. The soldier (pandjak) of Peraboe Lawe riding a dog (tjitjing -or wolf?) being killed by soldiers of Oesinara.\n\n88. The soldier of Lawe riding on a crocodile (boeaja) killing a soldier of Oesinara riding on a horse.(djaran)\n\n89. Peraboe Lawe riding (ngelingihin) on a barong sabrang (note by GB: MK said it looks like a keket or matjan in gambuh.)\n\n90. Soldier of Paraboe Lawe riding on a boar.(tjeleng)\n\n91. Soldier of Praboe Lawe riding on a lion (singa) beheading (moenggal) a soldier from Oesinara.\n\n97. Soldier of Praboe Lawe fighting against a soldier of Oesinara, both riding on horses.\n\n98. Peraboe Lawe riding on Barong Sabrang.\n\n111A\t\t-2-\n\nThis text probably belongs to the following set of pictures by IBTogog:\n\nB642\t=\t(87)\nB627\t-\t(88)\nB619\t=\t(89)\nB620\t-\t(90)\nB621\t=\t(91)\n\nPictures B 622, B628 and B625 may belong to the same series, since they were bought about the same time, but do not fit the description of numbers 97 and 98, above.\n\nNote: the comment by MK that the Barong Sabrang resembles a keket or matjan in the gambuh may mean that this is a gambuh story. But then MK could have been wrong. This set of pictures was bought, and the story dictated early in GB's research period, while they were still living in Bayung.
